MG specializes in the development of custom electronic systems and software; regarding hardware, the activity is mainly research and development of the prototype based on the specifications provided, followed by engineering, approvals, and production. The main markets of operation are aerospace, medical, security, telecommunications and industrial automation. In detail, the activity include hardware, firmware and software development: 30 years of experience in the field from microcontrollers and microprocessors to DSPs; from standard to proprietary buses; from traditional Windows and Linux operating systems to custom kernels on specification. FPGA and PLD development is also provided, using the most advanced synthesis and simulation CAD. We develop firmware for microcontrollers in both C language and assembler; for Windows and Linux environments C, C++ and C# are the common.
DESIGN
All products are developed in-house, by a complete process overseen by experts in the field. After feasibility analysis, hardware is defined, which can be both existing boards or custom developed. In this case, PCB design, prototyping, and development of the necessary firmware/software are provided. This is followed by mechanical design, engineering and assembly of the final prototypes, until release with approvals and certifications. Finally, the product is started to mass production, with dedicated testing to ensure quality and reliability.
MANUFACTURING
Since 2003, MG has integrated a complete SMD and THT assembly line, providing direct control over the production cycle. The process includes silkscreen printing, optical pick & place, air ovens and selective soldering machines, followed by product-specific functional testing. Service is also available for external customers with high quality requirements. Final assembly, burn-in and packaging for shipment are performed upon request, offering a complete solution.
DEVICES
MG Engineering develops advanced solutions for various markets, including energy, automation, medical, security and aerospace. We design energy data acquisition systems with cloud-based processing, goods control and tracking by BLE technology, as well as wireless systems for street lighting. In the medical field we make electrostimulators, ultrasound generator, pressure therapy and X-ray systems, while for security we design video surveillance, IR anti-intrusion and TAG RFId management systems. We offer advanced solutions for the aerospace market, such as GCU boards, DC/DC power supplies and brushless motor drives, as well as Ethernet converters, mass spectrometers and systems for offshore oil platforms.
MG Engineering is also able to work on existing products by re-engineering devices, based on obsolete components, ensuring manufacturing continuity and functional improvements.
We offer rapid prototyping services for verification and optimization of designs before mass production, as well as rework activities, such as repair and functional recovery of defective or damaged electronic boards.
